Once again, DOGA is proud to sponsor another edition of Formula Student Spain 2021, where the passion for motorsports, innovation, and creativity are showcased.
Formula Student Spain is a competition that challenges university engineering students to conceive, design, manufacture, develop, and compete as teams with a formula-style single-seater car, and to be able to participate in the event against other universities from around the world.
The first weekend of August marked the end of Formula Student Spain with another successful edition. Up to 62 educational projects were put to the test for nearly a week at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with victory going to the FSUPV Team, the team from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
From combustion cars to electric vehicles, and with a focus on new technologies in autonomous cars, the tests were divided into several categories: static tests where theoretical aspects were evaluated, dynamic tests where each team had to demonstrate on the track which prototype was the best, and the development of a business plan aimed at assessing the vehicle’s viability in meeting demand and the profits it would generate once produced and marketed.
